Under Control was established in late 2006, after identifying a need for custom business intelligent Process Control and Automation solutions.
We found that most Process Control and Automation solutions do not have any focus on the business, and instead focus solely on the machine or process.
What we aim to achieve is combing the machine or process data with business intelligence. For example.
Production Planning
We can provide an interface to do production planning, this interface will know all the business knowledge about your various products, including the Spec for the product. This allows us in the plan to calculate expected raw material consumptions, expected completion time for the machine it has been planned for. Using the plan you can easy see what is currently running, what time the current job is expected to complete and what is planned next for the machine.
Once Job A and Job B have been planned, completion times are calculated. This is for JIT Planning (Just in Time).
If for any reason Job A will complete later than the initial expected planned time, there is a report informing you that Job A and Job B are going to be late.
The planner then has an option to acknowledge this and the new expected completion times are recalculated.
This allows the Logistics and Sales Staff to quickly and conveniently identify orders that might be delivered late, allowing them to inform your customers of the potential late delivery.
In addition to planning orders you are able to use this tool to plan for Planned Maintenance, Tooling Time etc.
At any time you are able to produce a report to show planned order that will complete later than expected, the total raw materials required to complete the orders in the plan, total machine running time, total machine time for planned maintence and total machine time for tooling or setup.
All the above information is in real time!
Production Monitoring
We can provide an interface to show you what a particular machine is currently running, and all the planned information for the current job.
We also show what the current machine data is, for example what the machine speed, temperature tensions are, we are also able to show how far the current job is to completion as a percentage.
This is real time!
Machine data, this is speeds, temperature, tensions or whatever data you require are recorded and stored, for later analysis.
Once a job has completed, you are able to enter the job number and see history for the job, for example a trend of the machine speed while the job was running, Stop \ Start times and duration of alarms.
The job history can be shown in a graph or as the raw data.
We are also able to show you in real time what the current shift or machine efficiency is, what alarms are currently active and what time the alarm became active.
Raw Material Stock
We are able to provide you with an application that has all your raw materials loaded and what their current stock levels are.
You are able to receipt and issue raw materials as required, thus keeping an inventory of each item.
You are able to set Min \ Max levels for each item and as items reach their minimum quantities, the application will generate alerts to order more if there are orders planned that require the item. The application will suggest the quantity to order to fulfill what is required by the plan.
